For the last decade, Theivani Evers has been a pillar of light in Holy Spirit Parish. We farewelled
her this week from the parish office. We have regularly changed her title over the years but she
has always been our “Parish Manager”. She was definitely that – and so much more.
There was not a liturgy, celebration, function, sacramental program, ministry or Mass that did not have Theivani’s creativity, faith and energy within it. Over this last ten years I have worked closely with Theivani and have always been moved by her big heart, strict moral discipline and her professionalism. She brought everything she had to that job and gave us all of it.
Now that she is thoroughly embarrassed I want to thank her most sincerely for all her generosity, faith, and her leadership. She never forgot that she was working in faith and love for God. I would also like to acknowledge the wonderful commitment of her family to supporting Theivani and the parish. Her husband Andrew has done so much for us and it has been a gift and delight to see their girls, Lavena and Lillie, grow and develop as people and as faithful children of God.
Theivani and her family are staying in the parish, and I encourage you all to embarrass her even more by telling her how much you appreciated all she has done for us. Theivani: Be well. Be happy. Be blessed.
