Thank you to everyone who was able to attend Assembly 2025 at Holy Spirit Parish.
Your energy, good will and excellent advice provided a wonderful springboard into our future.
The reports generated from the Assembly are available to review on the Parish website here (in raw format – these have not been edited in any way).
Our task now is to weave the needs and hopes of the parish into a living plan that we can use to guide our work over the coming years. We will be developing this plan, based closely on the results of the Assembly and the survey in September 2024 and will continue consulting with the parish as we do so. Fr Troy has asked us to have a draft plan ready for his return in August 2025.
The plan will concentrate on six key themes which have emerged from the parish’s consultations:
• Authentic welcome and inclusion
• Dynamic school-parish connections
• Greater opportunities for faith formation and social interaction
• Review and enhancement of charisms (God’s gifts) and our ministries to enhance the role of volunteers
• Family groups of all sizes and backgrounds
• Multicultural immersion in our faith and social activities
We had a wonderful Assembly, and we’d like to thank everyone who contributed on the day or in submissions afterwards.
The time now comes for reflection, consolidation and planning. You are also very welcome to be part of this phase. Please let the Parish know if you are interested.
