DOORKNOCK – URGENT NEWS

The St Vincent de Paul have announced that their February Doorknock Appeal has had to be severely curtailed because the smoke in the air is not safe for volunteers. This decision was made on the advice of the ACT government and the Bureau of Meteorology.

Instead of a doorknock, Vinnies will be conducting collections within shopping centres over the five weekends of February. Hopefully, Gungahlin will have collection tables in both supermarket buildings so we will still need our volunteers to put in two hours at the desk.

Now that we can’t go knocking on doors it is even more important that we have as much help as possible in the shopping centres.
