It is a time to look back on the past year with gratitude and then to the future in hope as we prepare for the birth of Jesus Christ.
The run-up to Christmas is always busy as people want to ‘catch up’ before Christmas. Suddenly it becomes urgent that the friendships we’ve neglected all year are reinvigorated with drinks or a meal one evening. Work is busier than ever as we clear the desk to ensure we can take a couple of weeks of holiday. There’s extra shopping and food preparation. It is therefore essential in this time of busyness that we take time out to concentrate on spiritual matters.
